HEVEIN Part Ways With Bassist, Seek Replacement

September 16, 2005

Finnish melodic thrashers HEVEIN have posted the following message on their official web site:

"The darkest day in the history of HEVEIN has come. We regret to inform you that our dear friend and a great bass player Tomppa [Tomi Koivunen] is leaving the band for personal/family-related reasons. We are sad to see Tomppa leave but wish him and his family all the best. He will be playing his farewell gig in Turku's Nuorisokeskus Palatsi [on September 16]. We are now searching for a new bass player. Think you're up to the challenge? More info at [this location].

"The gig in Turku's Nuorisokeskus Palatsi [on September 16] can be viewed live streaming here (just click the link at the bottom of the page). Show starts at 7:00 p.m. We will propably play somewhere around 9:00 p.m. (Finnish time)."

HEVEIN's debut album, "Sound Over Matter", is available now on Spinefarm Records. A video for the song "Last Drop of Innocence" was recently directed by HEVEIN drummer Alpo Oksaharju.
